I had my first appointment with Dr. Martinssen and his staff today. It was a great experience. My hygienist Mel was so thoughtful, caring, and friendly plus very professional. She compassionately accommodated an issue I have with an intense gag reflex working to make my experience as easy as possible for me. Dr. Martinssen was also friendly, professional, and caring, skillfully explaining his findings and treatment plan using hand-drawn pictures that helped my understand without being condescending. He was not rushed in his exam and made sure I understood everything to my satisfaction. The front desk staff was also friendly and helpful. Even the office and exam rooms were bright, very clean and well cared for, and comfortable. All-in-all, it was a great experience. Gven that it was a dentist visit, that is high praise.

Very friendly atmosphere - I had such a great experience with Susie at the dentist’s office. She made sure I felt comfortable the entire time and her professionalism and genuinely caring attitude really stood out. If you’re looking for someone who makes a dental visit feel stress-free, Susie is amazing. Highly recommend! 😁

Very professional and thorough. The in-house benefits package is helpful financially and covers a range of expenses. Very friendly staff who have the patient’s health and safety needs as a top priority.

All I can say is... Wow! I needed a Dentist after recently moving from abroad and after calling several Dentists in Sandpoint no one could see me before 6 months. I stumbled onto this Dentist and I was so impressed. From Sam in the office to the incredible hygienest to Dr. Martinssen himself I can easily say this is the most friendly and professional dental crew I've ever been to from all over the US. My wife will be calling for an appointment.

We are living in Sandpoint for the summer and I needed to see a local dentist for cleaning and exam and found this one. Awesome dentist and hygienist & friendly receptionists. If we were staying long term in Sandpoint I'd definitely choose them as my dentist/hygienists.

They always do great work and are so friendly. I’ve been going here for many years. Mel is fantastic. Had Dr. A for so long and miss him and Laurie but the new dentist is great!

I've been going here for over 5 years and consistently receive exceptional care. The entire team is welcoming, professional, and truly makes you feel comfortable. The hygienists and Dr. Martinssen are very thorough and gentle. I love that Dr. Martinssen explains what he is doing. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for top-quality dental care.

As someone who’s never been a big fan of the dentist, I was honestly a little nervous going in but this experience completely changed that for me. From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed and taken care of. Susie was absolutely incredible so kind, thorough, and genuinely made me feel comfortable the entire time. She explained everything in a way that felt easy to understand and never rushed through anything. I left feeling really happy and so glad I found this office. Highly recommend!
